Combining superior jetting performance with high nozzle packing density in a standalone compact unit that the StarFire SG1024 / SA-2C uses field proven materials to provide consistent longevity and reliable output.
Each SG1024 / SA-2C printhead has two separate ink lines each with 512 independent channels arranged in 4 lines on a single nozzle plate for resolutions up to 200 dpi. All 1024 nozzles can be fired simultaneously or individually.
Equipped with a durable single, collar mounted, coated metal nozzle plate to resist abrasion and be resistant to damage, this can be removed for cleaning or replacement. The print head has a nominal 12 picoliter drop size with liquid jetting in the 8 to 20 centipoise range. When combined with VersaDrop ™ jetting Technology the SG1024 / SA-2C can produce drop sizes of up to 33 picoliters and full grayscale without penalty for productivity.
The StarFire SG1024 / SA-2C is compatible with UV curable, curable and aqueous based ink and liquid. Using RediJet ™ technology the SG1024 / SA-2C continuously recirculates ink through the printhead on the nozzle and refills space to increase load time, reduce operational downtime and increase startup, especially for highly pigmented and ink-drying fast. RediJet allows the StarFire printhead to be quickly and easily integrated with a minimum of waste ink thereby increasing the inherent productive capacity of the printing system by reducing maintenance time and related costs.
StarFire SG1024 / SA-2C printheads have been simplified. The electrical interface consists of one 60-pin connector located above for power, ground, control data signals and fire pulses. Two fluid connections for each color Channel make it easy to priming, rinsing and continuous ink recirculation and connected to the ink supply via a Luer fitting.
